The way I cook green beans is pretty basic. It is not a unique green bean recipe but my favorite.

400ggreen beans
100gonion
3garlic cloves
2tbspolive oil
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Wash green beans thoroughly under running water. Trim them. If they are too long, just cut them in half.
Peel onion and garlic. Finely chop vegetables (or you can use press for garlic).
There are several variations of the order in which the ingredients are added. This one is my favorite. First, I heat a pan over medium-high heat with oil in it. Add chopped onion. Sauté it until golden and tender.
Add green beans and sauté for 10 minutes (for thick green beans and less if they are thin). Stir them regularly.
Season with salt and pepper and add pressed garlic to the skillet with green beans. Let them cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Let it sit for several minutes after you remove it from the heat.
