  • 200 g spaghetti pasta
  • 150 g bacon (guanciale or pancetta)
  • 50 g parmesan
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • 150 ml 20 % cream
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable or olive oil
  • 20 g chopped fresh parsley
  • salt, pepper to taste


  • Slice bacon into medium sized slices. Try to make them about the same size. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large skillet, and then add bacon. Sauté bacon on the medium heat until it becomes crisp and brown. Do not forget to stir bacon! It will take you around 2 minutes to get it to the perfect condition.
  • Now, next step will be adding garlic. You can mince it or simply chop into small pieces. Sauté bacon with garlic additional 2 minutes. It will bring an amazing aroma to the dish.
  • Cook spaghetti according to the instructions on the package until al dente. Do not forget to salt water before adding pasta!
  • When pasta is ready carefully, drain it with the help of colander.
  • Now, it is time to make carbonara sauce. Nicely whip egg yolk, add cream.
  • You can take already grated parmesan or shred it yourself with fine grater. Add cheese to the sauce, spice up with salt and pepper. Nicely mix all the ingredients.
  • Take a deep skillet, heat on the stove and add cooked pasta, bacon and sauce.
  • Chop fresh parsley and add it to the skillet. Stir everything thoroughly for a minute on the stove. Cover skillet with a lid and put it aside. Pasta will absorb all the flavors and aromas.
  • Before serving spaghetti carbonara, warm up the plate in the microwave or oven. Enjoy your meal!
