Manna Cake Recipe

- 1 cup semolina
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 100 g butter
- 1 cup plain kefir
- 1 egg
- a pinch of salt
Let`s mix all the dry ingredients together: all-purpose flour, semolina, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Now, add kefir to the mix of dry ingredients (as a last resort, you can replace kefir with sour cream and even plain yogurt, but only with the help of kefir manna will be so fluffy and soft).
Melt butter in a small saucepan.
Add melted butter into the batter. Stir everything intensely.
Next step would be to break in an egg.
After another good stir you should leave the batter for 25 minutes to rest (at this time, the batter will rise).
It is easier for you to take cake form with removable bottom or adjustable cake ring and use parchment paper as a bottom. Before using any form, smear all the sides with butter. Now, place batter in the form.
Bake manna in the oven for 45 minutes at 180 °C/375 °F. Before serving, decorate manna with powdered sugar. Enjoy your delicious manna dessert!
