Crumb Cake with Jam Recipe

Combine butter with sugar in a deep mixing bowl. Take butter out of the fridge beforehand as should be slightly soft (30 minutes will be enough).
Thoroughly stir ingredients with a fork until they are evenly combined.
Beat in one egg and stir the mixture for the dough again.
Sift flour through a sieve in to the bowl together with a baking powder. If it will be easier for you, add flour by bunches.
Knead the dough until it becomes soft and elastic but be careful, as it should not stick to hands.
Divide dough into 2 parts, one slightly bigger than the other one. Cover parts with plastic wrap and freeze them for 30 minutes.
Take a cake pan and grease it with butter or use parchment paper. Grate the biggest ball with a coarse grater directly into the pan; do not forget to form sides for the cake.
Pour jam into the form with a cake dough, even out it with a spatula.
Take the second ball of dough from the freezer and evenly grate it over the jam to cover it fully. Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes at 350ºF/180°C.
When cake will be ready, take it out and cool it before serving. Enjoy with a hot cocoa or a cup of tea!
