Rinse cornmeal under running water. Better use a strainer with a fine mash. I did not have one, so I placed cornmeal in a bowl, several times filled it with water until drained water was clear. Be careful not to drain cornmeal with it.
Take a saucepan in which you are going to make your porridge, pour listed amount of water and bring it to boil on the high heat.
Rinsed cornmeal add to the boiling water, keep constantly stirring while pouring it inside.
Add sugar and salt next; lower the heat to minimum.
Keep cooking cornmeal in water for 10 minutes in a saucepan covered with a lid. Do not forget to stir cornmeal porridge to prevent it from burning.
While you have cornmeal cooking, let’s warm up milk. When water cooks off, pour warmed up milk. Stir the porridge.
While cooking cornmeal in milk, you should continue to stir porridge constantly. Make sure that the heat is low and you can cover pot with a lid again. It will take you around 15 minutes to get porridge to the consistency that you need.
Add butter and set aside covered pot for 10 minutes.
Serve in your favorite plate with dried fruits and nuts.
