Ingredients
6-8quail eggs
500mlwater
½tbspsalt
Instructions
Rinse quail eggs under cold running water one by one or in a colander.
Place eggs in a saucepan; cover them with cold water (at least one inch above eggs).
Add salt (½ of a tablespoon). Do not skip this step, as it will prevent eggs from cracking.
Put a pot with water on the stove. Let the water boil on the high heat, then reduce it low. Water in the pot should simmer actively.
Cook quail eggs for 1-2 minutes to get a soft yolk and 3-4 minutes for a hard-boiled yolk.
Turn off the heat and set the pot aside. Transfer boiled quail eggs into a bowl with cold water. It won’t hurt if you add ice cubes in there.
Leave them in a cold bath for 3-5 minutes, and then proceed to peel. Enjoy in a salad or as a snack!
