60gbutter
400gloaf bread

a pinch of salt
Instructions
Cut bread into thick slices not less than half an inch. For the recipe make sure to use bread, that is several days old. In such a way, slices of toast won`t fell apart while cooking in the skillet.
Before making an egg mixture, take eggs out of the fridge and leave them to get to room temperature. Take a deep bowl; add eggs and a pinch of salt.
Whisk eggs until well combined.
Pour in milk and continue whisking until smooth.
Dip each of the bread slices in the egg-milk mixture in turns. Let them soak for some time in the bowl at least for 30 sec (I have read in some recipes that they let loaves of bread soak for 15 minutes, in my case, bread would have already dissolved into pieces).
Let the butter melt in the skillet over medium-high heat on the stove.
Shake off the excess mixture from the bread slices and put them into the skillet.
Fry French toasts until golden brown on one side and turn to the other side to get golden. If you have more than one bunch of toasts to cook, every time add a new portion of butter.
Before serving, sprinkle some sugar over French toast while it is still hot. Better enjoyed warm. Enjoy your breakfast!
