Peel all the garlic cloves and cut them into the shape you want. I prefer slicing garlic for this method of preserving.
In a bowl, combine sliced garlic with salt. Make sure that you mix garlic in the bowl thoroughly so that every slice is covered in salt.
Transfer salted garlic slices into a jar. Close it with a tight lid and store it in the fridge for up to 4 months.
