Ingredients for Baked Catfish with Onion and Tomato in the Oven:
- 1 catfish steak (600 g);
- 1 tomato;
- 1 onion;
- ½ lemon;
- 1 tbsp. olive oil;
- herbs (rosemary, thyme, dry parsley);
- salt, pepper.
How to bake catfish steak with vegetables in the oven:
- Rinse the catfish steak well under running water; pat it dry with paper towels, and place it in a large bowl. Squeeze ½ lemon into a bowl and add salt pepper to taste. Make sure to cover both sides of a fish steak in marinade. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Slice onion into the shape that you want. Take a large piece of foil and place the sliced onion in the center. Sprinkle with dry herbs.
- Place sliced tomato over onion.
- Smear marinated steak with olive oil, sprinkle over some more herbs, and place catfish steak over veggies.
- Wrap catfish with vegetables tightly with foil. Preheat oven at 200 °C/400 °F and bake for 20 minutes. Open foil and bake steak for additional 10 minutes. It will give your steak a nice golden color.
