Easy Lemon Cake Ingredients

  • 1 lemon;
  • 4 eggs;
  • 150 g all-purpose flour;
  • 100 g unsalted butter;
  • 100 g sugar;
  • 1 tsp. baking powder.

How to make lemon cake at home:

  • Preheat oven at 350ºF/180°C.
  • Clean lemon under running water and scald it several times with boiling water. Be careful not to hurt yourself. Now cut lemon into pieces, remove seeds and place them inside the blender cup.
  • Blend lemon slices until they become one smooth mass.

  • In a small pot (or in a microwave) melt butter. Add sugar and whisk it together with butter until it fully dissolves.

  • Whisk eggs into smooth mixture and combine them together with butter and sugar.

  • Now, add blended lemon mass and mix all the ingredients.

  • Sieve all-purpose flour together with baking powder and added to the bowl with liquid ingredients by bunches.

  • While adding flour, keep mixing until you have smooth batter without any lumps. In the end, batter will have density that will resemble yogurt or sour cream.

  • Take a cake pan and cover it with parchment paper (you can also grease it butter or oil). Spoon batter for lemon cake into the prepared pan and even out the surface with a spatula.

  • Bake lemon cake for 30 minutes or you can use a toothpick to check whether it is ready or not. Just insert it into the cake and if it comes out clean than the cake is ready.
