Making spanakopita, a delicious Greek pie, involves several clear steps. First, sauté your vegetables, which include spinach and onion. Next, mix eggs with Feta cheese and add your choice of seasonings. While I usually use ground black pepper, you can explore a variety of options such as nutmeg, red pepper flakes, oregano, dill, or parsley. Once your spanakopita filling is ready, lay out the filo sheets in a casserole dish, fill them with the mixture, and then bake. It’s as simple as that! - 200 g Phyllo sheets;
- 3 bunches of spinach (500 g – 750 g);
- 1 red onion;
- 200 g Feta cheese;
- 2 eggs;
- 4 tbsps. olive oil;

How to make spanakopita with spinach and feta pie at home:
- Let us start with spinach and feta pie filling. Chop onion into the smallest pieces you can. Sauté onion in the skillet smeared with olive oil on medium heat. Cook onion until soft and translucent.

- Rinse fresh spinach under running water and cut into thin slices. Add to the skillet with onion.

- Keep sautéing the veggies for 2 minutes; stir constantly. Let the mixture cool down before further use.

- Combine two eggs, Feta cheese, and freshly ground black pepper in a bowl. Mix ingredients until the mixture becomes smooth.

- Add sautéed onion with spinach to the cheese mixture, mix.
