Basic Tartar Sauce Ingredients:
- 200 ml mayonnaise;
- 70 g pickled cucumbers;
- 2 garlic cloves;
- 20 g fresh dill;
- 1 tbsp. mustard;
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice freshly squeezed.
How to make tartar sauce without relish:
- Combine mustard with mayonnaise in a deep bowl by stirring them until well mixed.
- Shred pickles using any size of grater that you prefer. There is a chance that you may get some extra juice, get rid of it. Add cucumber to the mayo mixer.
- Add lemon juice to the mix.
- Rinse fresh dill, dry it by patting with paper towels, and finely chop it into fine pieces. Add to the bowl together with a pressed garlic.
- Mix everything thoroughly once again to make sure that the sauce is well blended. Let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Enjoy with your favorite type of appetizer/snack or main dish!
