Learn how you can cook appetizing turkey leg in the oven using the simplest sweet and sour marinade, but believe me, no less rich in flavor. This four-ingredient marinade goes perfectly with any kind of meat. But I especially like to use it with poultry, where my top choices are turkey legs and chicken thighs. Moreover, since we are not roasting the leg but baking in the oven bag, the meat turns out very juicy, delicious, and savory.
You first can be turned off by the amount of prepping time, but in reality, you spend at the most 15 minutes in the kitchen. Just combine ingredients for the turkey drumstick marinade, smear with it the turkey leg and leave it for approximately 6 hours to marinate. Then you spend 5 minutes, max., transferring the leg to an oven bag and placing it in the oven. Then you simply wait for turkey to bake. As simple as it can get. In addition, I will share with you a pretty basic trick to get a crispy crust with that juicy inside in the end.

Ingredients for Baking Turkey Drumstick in the Oven:
- 1 turkey leg (1 kg);

I make several punctures with a wooden skewer, so the steam can escape from the bag while the turkey is cooking. For reference, I marinated the leg in the morning and left it for 7 hours in the fridge.
- Bake turkey leg at 350ºF/180°C for an hour and a half (1h30m). It is the easiest way how to cook turkey legs in oven bag.
- If you want your baked leg to have crispy skin, then bake it for 1h15m in the oven bag, then carefully remove it or cut it in the middle to open the leg for the heat. Roast turkey leg for additional 15 minutes. You can even raise heat to 450ºF to get it extra crispy.
- You can cut meat from the bone or serve oven baked turkey leg as it was originally. Enjoy your meal!
