What exactly is a Pig in a Blanket? It’s a deliciously simple dish where hot dogs are wrapped in puff pastry and baked to perfection. I’ve shared the recipe below! The ingredients are quite straightforward: just puff pastry sheets and hot dogs. To make the finished product even more appealing, I like to brush the tops with whisked egg and sprinkle sesame seeds over them for an added layer of flavor and crunch.

I always keep a sheet of puff pastry in my freezer for recipes like this. That said, if you have a fantastic homemade puff pastry recipe, feel free to use it! Personally, I’ve never tried making it from scratch, and for me, store-bought puff pastry is just perfect.
